Silence  hour  is  at  house  bedtime  until  8.00am  weekdays.

Bedtimes:

San:  8:00  to  9:00  pm.  Half  an hour  later  on  late  nights.
House: 10:00  to  10:30,     an  hour  later  on  late  nights.
Shack:  10:30  to  11:00,     an  hour  later  on  late  nights.
Boy's  shack  lamps  our  30  minutes  later.
Carriages  11:30  to  12:00,  an  hour later  on  late  nights.

You  are  not  allowed  on  the  top  coridor  after  house  bedtimes.
House  doors  must  be  kept  closed  after  lights  out  or  whole
room  is  fined     -  half  hour  work  fine.

Morning  wake  up  is  an  9:00  am.  You  have  to  be  out  of  your  bed
at  9:30.        You  are  not  allowes  to  go  back  to  bed  before     lunch
time.
People  must  be  fully  dressed  at  9.30.

All  carriages  kids  must  have  their  curtains  open  from  9.30
until  1.00pm

If  you  want  to  sleep  in someone's  room  you  ask  the  meeting.

You  habe  to  change  into  sleeping  clothes  before  you  go  to
bed.
TV's  in  the  shack  must  be  turnde  off  at  lights  out.

No  one  may  play  the piano  after  house  lights  out.

On  fridays  and  saturdays  san  kids  can  stay  in  the  cafe
until  9.00pm

Beddies  Officers  turn  down  TV  after  san  lights  out.
 

SAN KIDS:

San    kids  need  two  members  of  carriages  or  staff  before     they
can  swap,  buy,  lend  or  sell  anything.
San  kids  can  only  have  half  their  poc  on  pay  on  poc.
You  can ' t  ask  BO's  before  tea  time  if  they  want  to  camp
out.
San  kids  go  first  to  leiston  swimming  pool
San  kids  get  priority  on  the  food  machine.
House  kids  are  banned  from  the  san  rooms  and  past  the
exceptions:  Jake  Josh  Elisabeth  Kara  Yoshiki  Chris  Camila
  -  Hanna  Yoko  Naoko  when  sewing
San  boys  can ' t  have  their  beds  near  the  windows.

THE  MEETING:

The  chairman  has  ultimate  power.
A  new  chairman  is  elected  each  week.
If  a  Chair  does  not  take  bedtimes . . e . g .    walks  out...   no  one
gets  late  nights.
Direct   Questions  may  be  answered  without  the     chair     calling
your  name.
The  chair  may  fine  people  even  if  they ' re  not  in  the  meeting.
Visitors  may  attend  meeting  with  the  community ' s  permission.
You  have  to  have  the  community ' s  permission  to  record  a  meet-
ing  or  discussion.
Gram  box  out  of  bounds  during  meeting.
No  appealing  after  two  weeks.
If    an    outsider  asks  the  meeting  mermission    for    something
they  may  not  be  present  while  it  ist  discussed.
Can ' t  watch  TV  during  the  meeting.
You  can  only  leve  the  meeting  at  the  end  of  a  business.
You  can ' t  change  the  law  in  the  last  meeting  of  term.
If  you  want  a  tribunal  case  in  General  Meeting  you  have

People  must  leave  rooms  when  asked.  Fine:  one  day  back  of  all
queues.
No  playing  with  water  inside.
Anyone  mucking  about  with  vehicles  gets  two  pocs   fined   and
damage  on  the  bill.
No  one  may  lock  people  in  rooms  (including  using  ropes).
Anyone  travelling  with  the  school  has  to  obey  school  laws
when  on  the  train.
You  habe  to  be  here  two  termes  to  be  an  ombudsman.
Kids  are  not  allowed  to  use  washing  machines.
No  cusions  outside  of  dhe  library  or  sitting  room.
You  can ' t  push  beds  together.

SITTING  ROOMS:

San  and  House  kids  are  allowed  in  the  BKSR  on  saturday
and  sunday  mornings  when  supervised.

You  can ' t  watch  TV  in  lesson  time.
-  only  Shack  and  over  can  change  the  channel.
You  can ' t  take  cusions  out  of  the  sitting - room.
Damian  can  use  his  computer  game  betwwn  2.00-4.00pm.
 
 
 

DANGEROUS  THINGS:

Roofs  are  out  of  bounds.  Not  allowed  on  window  sills.
You  are  not  allowed  to  sniff  Tippex  at  Summerhill.
Scafolding  is  out  of  bounds.
Only  Shack  and  over  allowed  matches  and  lighters.
12  and  over  can  have  sheat  knives.
 -  Julian  is  an  exception.
No  matches  and  lighters  inside.
Fire  escapes  out  of  bounds  except  in  a  fire  or  fire  practice.
Only  House  and  up  are  allowed  pen  knives.
No  sheath  knives  allowed  downtown.
Modeling    knives,   scalpels  and  stanley  knives  only  used  in
class.
Shurikens  and  catapults  are  not  allowed.
Cross  bows  and  arrows  allowed  only  on  Hockey  Field  if  no  one
is  around.
Big  Beech  ist  our  of  bounds  when  its  dark  or  wet.
No one  is  allowed  darts.
BB guns  are  banned  from  Summerhill  forever.
No  one  may  touch  the  fryer  except  for  kitchen  staff.
Beginners  on  the  skateboard  ramp  must  wear  knee - pads  and
elbow  pads
People  who  can ' t  drop  in  are  classed  as  beginners
Roger  is  not  allowed  weapons.
 
 
 

BIKES:

You  have  to  have  a  working  front  and  back  brake  on  your  bike.
After  dark  you  have  to  have  a  working  front  and  back  ligth
except  in  Summerhill.
You  can ' t  ride  San  kids  bikes  even with  permission.
House  and  under  must  pass  Dolly ' s  test  before  they  can
cycle  downtown.
No  wheels  inside.
 
 
 

PARENTS  AND  VISITORS:

Parents  can only  take  ohter  seople  swimming  in  a  public    pool
with  a  qualified  life-guard.
If    an    under-16    wants  to  come  to  summerhill  they  must  be
accompinied  by  their  parents.
Ex-pupils,     visitors     and  families  can  stay  on:      Saturday   of
Easter  and  Winter  EOT,  Friday  after  lunch  on  Summer  EOT,  and
must  leave  before  Monday  lunch  time.
Ex-pupils,  visitors  and  families  can  stay  for  Saturday,  Sun-
day  and  Monday  at  Summer   half-term.
If  es-pupils  are  drunk  on  school  premses  they  must  leave  the
premises  until  the  next  morning.
Ex-pupils  are  not  allowed  to  bring  alcohol.

Josh  can  take  Misha  downtown.
Fist  lunch  kids  not  allowes  downtown  before  1:00  pm.
Two  14s  can  go  to  a  radius  of  one  hundred  miles.
No  sheat  knives  downtown.
No  rowdy  behaviour  or  dirty  clothes  downtown.
No  one  allowed  on  railway  track.
No  one  under  16  can  smoke  downtown.
Staff  and  parents  can  take  you  downtown  after  dark.
Hill  Farm  is  an  annexe  to  the  school  but  not  after  8:00  pm.
Cinema  goers  can  come  back  at  9:30pm.

On  a  cinema  trip  with  house  and  san  kids  :
    -  Everyone  must  cross  by  dhe  Chippie,  between  Bakers
       and  Barclays  and between  the  railway  lines.
    -  Staff  must  supervise  kids  crossing  roads.
    -  You  must  walk  on  the  pavements
 
 

SWIMMING  POOL:

When  the  whistle  blows,  EVERYONE  has  to  leave  the  water
IMMEDIATELY.
No  jumping  in  or  diving  from  the  side  past  the  filter.
After  diving  no  swimming  back  from  the  ladder  under  water.
Banks  around  the  fence  are  out  of  bounds.
No  running  around  the  pool.
No  pushing  people in.
Swimming    when  not  supervised:   banned  form  swimming  for   one
week.
You  can ' t  stand  or  walk  on  the  pool  dividing  wall

San  kids  go  first  to  Leiston  Pool  shak  and  carriage  if
room  in  the  landrover.
San  kids  get  priority  on  the  food  machine.
At  leiston  pool  only  one  person  on  shoulders.
